SQUARE OF ALTOZANO

The square is located in Albacete’s city centre, known for being surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens and the CUTLER STATUE. It is an ideal place to start the visit by Albacete and take a first impression of the city. Under the park is The Interpretation Centre for Peace and Awareness of Albacete, in an old bomb shelter of the Civil War, dating from 1937.

LODARES PASSAGE

The Lodares Passage is a commercial and residential gallery in the city of Albacete. Located between Tinte and Mayor streets, this building is an example of modernist architecture in the early twentieth century. It, along Valladolid’s Gutierrez Passage and Zaragoza’s Cyclone Passage, one of the three examples of this kind of galleries that are conserved in Spain.

The streets Marqués de Molins, Tesifonte Gallego, Rosario, Concepción, Mayor, Tinte, Caba, etc., are the most central and busiest of Albacete, in which are the most of the shops, where visitors can buy all kinds of things and eat the famous 'tapas' or enjoy the outdoor terrace heated.
